Retired American boxer Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight world champion, has shown that he is still very strong when he returned to the ring after a long wait and completely beat his rival Roy Jones in an exhibition match that united them in Los Angeles yesterday, but against all expectations he ended up in a draw.
The match lasted eight rounds between boxers without any referees outside the ring to gain points, but the World Boxing Council asked some referees to score remotely.
The American competitors in this match are more than 50 years old and Tyson (54) said after the confrontation: “I am satisfied with this performance and I can continue this activity and move forward,” he added: “It is more than just a match … We care about humanitarian matters and we help people. ”
It is worth noting that the last professional match that Tyson fought was 15 years ago, in which he lost to Kevin McBride, but completely dominated against Jones (51 years).
