Milan coach Stefano Pioli confirmed that his team is in a tough clash with the clubs of the Italian league for qualifying places for the Champions League, and advised his goalkeeper Donnarumm.
Milan defeated Parma (3: 1) and is in second place in the Italian league. After the match, Pioli spoke to the “Sky Sport Italia” network.
“I love it when players respect and reflect the same feelings we have on the team,” Bioli said. “It’s been a sensitive week because we knew we weren’t committed to Milan’s standards to Sampdoria and we have to meet them today.”
Coach Milan added: “Parma is a difficult team to face. At one point we messed things up, but it’s important to win.”
He continued: “Statistics show that we are doing well away from our country. It’s weird and we evaluate the reasons, but the matches are exactly the same when we play behind closed doors. “

He stressed: “We want to return Milan to the Champions League. We have strong competition from Juventus, Atalanta, Naples, Lazio and Rome, so we have to play one game after another and continue to move.”
“All of these teams are able to win eight or nine games in a row, so we can’t take anything at all for granted,” said Bioli.
He added: Maybe we have wasted a lot of time and energy thinking about the future or other situations, if you think about the match too much in a month, you will not focus enough on the next match.
“We have to go back to the average points we had at the beginning of the season, but we can only do that if we take one match at a time,” the coach added.
Finally, Bioli was asked what advice he would give to goalkeeper Donnarumma, whose contract with Milan expires in July.
He replied, “I recommend Donnarumm to stay in Milan because it’s a big club and we’re building something here. I call my players fighters who haven’t won yet, but are training to win.”
