A two-goal outing by Yorkton-born Ryder Korczak powered the Moose Jaw Warriors to Friday’s WHL victory over the Swift Current Broncos.
Ryder Korczak’s two-goal, one-assist, first-star performance powered the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 6-2 victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Friday at the Brandt Centre — the WHL’s East Division hub.
Riley Krane added a goal and two assists for Moose Jaw (7-7-1-0), which also got goals from Logan Doust, Eric Alarie and Daemon Hunt.
Jordan Borysiuk and Josh Davies replied for Swift Current (3-11-1-0), which got 26 saves from Isaac Poulter. Moose Jaw’s Brett Mirwald stopped 27 shots.
REGINA 2, BRANDON 1 (OT)
In Friday’s early game at the Brandt Centre, the Regina Pats‘ Connor Bedard scored both goals — including the winner 49 seconds into sudden-death play — against the division-leading Brandon Wheat Kings.
