Two suspects arrested after Regina Police locate stolen vehicle, seize weapons and drugs

Two Regina men are facing multiple charges after a stolen vehicle was located Saturday.

Kyle Tony, 33, and Jonathan Anaquod, 28, were arrested and taken into custody after a 2019 Acura ILX vehicle, which had been reported stolen from the 5800 block of Rochdale Boulevard last Monday, was found by Regina Police Service in the 600 block of 14th Avenue.

Police say a subsequent search of the two suspects and the vehicle revealed two firearms, ammunition and illicit drugs, including cocaine and fentanyl.

Tony was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, proceeds of crime under $5,000, possession, breach of release order, possession of a firearm knowing it’s been tampered with, possession of a weapon obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm knowing it’s unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, dangerous weapons and possession of drugs (fentanyl and cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking.

Anaquod was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of a firearm contrary to order.

Both suspects have been held for a court appearance Monday morning.
