  1. Well if that ain’t the most heartwarming thing I’ve seen all week

Edit: also kudos to his family for making this happen, must’ve taken a lot of effort to track the guy down after so many years

  2. Wow your dad looks amazing for 85. Im glad your getting to hear his stories. My grandpa never really talked about ww2, and all I have is his plaque. I reached out to a “historian” and they want way more money than I expected just to locate govt records of his service. I miss him, at least he got to see my kid before he passed 17yrs ago. I hope you get to record their time together if they don’t mind, and try and get your grandpas stories on tape.

  3. Excellent! Were they in Vietnam? Most likely, I’d guess.. (Maybe Korea but I doubt it.).

Totally heartwarming! THANK YOU! (Like everyone else, it seems, I’m having trouble seeing the screen.) Great!

  4. This video is amazing. My papa was 99 when he passed and only one other tank driver from his squadron was still alive and they were close. He made me promise him that when he passed away to call his friend and not let him find out from obituary or because he couldn’t answer his calls. It was such an emotional conversation when I called but the bond they shared was immediately apparent.

I hoped to meet his friend last summer but covid restrictions made it impossible. Hopefully I can do so this year. Would be wonderful to meet the man behind the stories and memories.

Loved this video. Made me cry but it’s so wonderful they have time to reunite and spend together still

  5. My father and his best friend from his Navy days stayed in touch throughout their lives, friends for over 50 years. They went to hospital corpsman school together during the Vietnam War, my dad was sent to Vietnam and his buddy was sent to a hospital ship serving off the coast. My father was shot in the field and evacuated to the ship for medical care and a bittersweet reunion of sorts. My fathers friend passed away seven years ago, my father passed last month; I don’t have any strong beliefs about the after life but I hope it went something like this in the video.

  6. I didn’t think I’d cry at 6:05 AM reading this while getting ready for work as a grown man who has never served in our military. How immaculate this is… kudos to those kids for setting this up

  7. This should be on every news channel across the nation. But it’s not, but hey, according to iPhones “Top Stories” I need to hear about the kardashian family DAILY.
